Giving the Gift of Mobility
Free Wheelchair Mission launches the new GEN 4 JOY wheelchair.

I’ve been a sponsor of several exciting nonprofits the past 25 years (Plan USA, The Rhino Orphanage, Animal Aid Unlimited, and a few more). One that’s been making an enormous global impact is Free Wheelchair Mission, which I’ve been an active ambassador for the past 2 years.
The World Health Organization estimates that more than 80 million people globally require the assistance of a wheelchair for mobility. Many of these people are in developing countries living in harsh conditions where they cannot afford a wheelchair.
This not only effects their ability to work and earn income, educate themselves, and/or live a full life - but it also impacts the entire family. When someone in need receives a wheelchair from Free Wheelchair Mission it is an immediate boom in prosperity for the entire family.
When gifted a wheelchair, bed ridden people are brought to life with a new found means to pursue a career, go to school, and easily join in activities outside the home with family and friends. I’ve always had a heart and genuine compassion for persons with disabilities, and it’s an incredibly fulfilling feeling to know that when you make a donation that someone’s life is completely transformed. Giving a meal to someone hungry is an amazing thing. In this case, every day for the next many years, they are going to live a much fuller life story.

Free Wheelchair Mission began with a vision and a version 1.0 wheelchair that could be donated to one person in need for just $96. The same promise exists today. Since then, Free Wheelchair Mission has delivered for than 1.5 million wheelchairs in 95 countries the past 25 years.
A basic wheelchair in the United States can cost $1,500. Free Wheelchair Mission just launched the 4th version of their wheelchair (GEN 4 JOY) with carefully improved features based on their close feedback loop relationship with distributors & maintenance teams in host nations. It’s an absolute miracle that they’re able to gift such a life-changing products for only $96.
This 4th generation wheelchair comes with several new improvements, such as:
A new XXL wheelchair size.
Reduced the number of welds required.
Added a cross-brace underneath the seat for more durability.
Strong aluminum frame.
Added an upper seat back cushion, and wider armrest.
The footrests are now adjustable.
This version is even easier to propel and maneuver than Gen 3.
Overall, these upgrades have created a better, more durable and long-lasting wheelchair for those who receive the gift of mobility. Every donation helps further the mission of providing a wheelchair for all 80 million persons with disabilities globally.
